Cartoixa de Scala Dei is a tribute to the old vineyards dotted over the emblematic landscape of Scala Dei in Priorat. A classic wine, made in cement vats and aged in large barrels. It is the meeting point of two lands: the dense, deep slate and the subtle, cool, high altitude clay. Grenache and Carignan grow there from the same vineyards that, for centuries, were cultivated by the Carthusian monks. They taught how to make the wine that today you can bring to your table. Keep in a cool place. It is recommended to serve between 14º - 16ºC

Vinification

This wine is the result of combining modern and traditional production techniques. Grenache and Carignan, selected from the best plots.

Viticulture

The Garnacha and Cariñena grapes come from historical varieties in the area and from old vineyards of around 60 years planted on terraces and esplanades in Priorat.

Pairing:

It is an ideal companion for main or main first courses. Stews, stews, cured cheeses, sausages and especially game and grilled meats.
