When will my order arrive?
Orders for the Spanish territory (Peninsula) are normally delivered from 24 h for orders confirmed before 13 h. For the rest it can oscillate between 48-36 hours. In both cases, preparation and delivery are always made on working days. Once the order has been sent, the customer receives an e-mail notification with the estimated delivery date. In the case of orders outside Spain, this delivery time can be between 3 and 5 working days approximately from the confirmation of the order.
These delivery times may be extended by 12-24 hours if the order contains, for example, sliced jamón, as we cut it at the moment we receive the order so that you receive it practically freshly sliced and can enjoy it to the fullest.
During the second half of December these usual delivery times can double due to the high volume of daily orders we receive in the days leading up to Christmas.
How do you preserve and store a ham?
The whole piece is recommended to be stored in a dry and cool place, preferably hanging, at a temperature between 12°C and 15°C. It is essential that the piece is not exposed to any source of light.
Any piece that leaves our warehouse or store is ready for consumption and is at its ideal curing point. Therefore, we do not recommend waiting to consume it. In case waiting is necessary, it is advised to do so for a few days, always respecting the previous indications.
Once the ham has been started to be sliced, it is recommended to consume it within 21 days to maintain its flavor, quality, and properties. In the summer, due to the increased temperature, it is advisable to consume it in an even shorter period.
To preserve the ham that will not be consumed immediately, it is important to cut only the amount to be consumed at that moment and cover it with transparent film or a clean cotton cloth that does not shed lint. This will help protect it from the air until the next time it is to be sliced.
How do you preserve the vacuum-packed bags of ham and ham shoulder?
The ham is vacuum-sealed at the very moment it is sliced by our professionals, ensuring that all its qualities are preserved until the moment of consumption. To fully enjoy its flavor, aroma, and properties, it is important to follow some storage and consumption recommendations:
Vacuum-sealed sliced ham is best stored in the refrigerator at a temperature between 3 and 8 degrees Celsius.
It should be placed in a specific area within the refrigerator, avoiding placing heavy objects on top of the vacuum-sealed package. It is also important to check the recommended expiration date before consumption.
To fully enjoy the ham, we suggest following these steps:
1. Remove the vacuum-sealed ham from the refrigerator approximately half an hour before consumption, although in winter, it may require a bit more time.
2. Unwrap the ham and place it on a plate to reach room temperature.
3. A simple way to know if the ham is ready to enjoy is when the slices separate easily without breaking. This is the perfect moment when the ham has regained all its nuances of flavor, texture, and aroma.
4. You can separate the slices and serve them on a plate or use them directly in the sandwich you are preparing.
