Healthy, Fresh, and Surprising Suggestions for This Summer

We all know that fruit is a healthy food rich in vitamins, magnesium, and also containing a lot of water. When we combine its flavor with Iberian ham, which is rich in minerals such as iron and calcium, and is also the highest carrier of oleic acid second only to olive oil, we understand that we have a delicious and healthy diet perfect for the summer.

We present a suggested pairing where each fruit will be accompanied by each of the 4 flavors of acorn-fed ham.

Melon

Iberian Acorn-fed Ham from Salamanca

The first pairing doesn't surprise us, but it's essential. It's the classic combination of melon with ham. We'll pair this with the gentle and friendly flavor of Salamanca ham, enhancing the taste of both the ham and the melon.

Pineapple

Iberian Acorn-fed Ham from Córdoba

Pineapple is an exotic and refreshing fruit with a taste that's both sweet and tangy, and juicy flesh. We suggest trying it with Córdoba ham, which has a very special, aromatic, intense, and lasting flavor that perfectly balances the sweet-tangy combination of the pineapple.

Fig

Iberian Acorn-fed Ham from Huelva

Figs have an extremely sweet and dense flavor. That's why we pair them with Huelva ham, which is the most intense of all. This creates a contrast pairing—two extreme flavors that complement and mellow each other, creating a smooth sensation on the palate. Additionally, the freshness of the fig counterbalances the saltiness of the ham.

Peach

Iberian Acorn-fed Ham from Cáceres and Badajoz

Peach is an aromatic fruit with an unforgettable scent, even with the skin removed. So, we suggest a pairing by affinity with the most aromatic ham available, the Extremadura ham. *All the fruit we present adds a note of freshness to the ham and creates a clean sensation on the palate that reduces the greasy sensations, especially from the Córdoba and Huelva hams.
