Tortilla mexicana de jamón serrano

Mexican tortilla with Jamón Gran Reserva, cheese and tomato

We tell you how to prepare the Mexican omelette with Serrano ham, cheese and tomato. Ideal for breakfast, snack, lunch or dinner, enjoy it!




TOTAL TIME: 20 min

  • Whole wheat tortillas
  • 4 slices of Jamón serrano, very thinly sliced
  • 3 tablespoons of grated cheese mixture
  • 1 garden tomato


1. We prepare the following ingredients.

Cut the tomato into slices and put one of the tortillas on a plate and place it on top, occupying half of the circumference a couple of centimeters from the edge. With the baking it spreads more and so it will not come out too much on the edges.

3. Cut the ham into very thin slices or if you buy it already sliced, remember to open the envelope a few minutes before placing it so that it gets the right texture, flavor and aroma. Spread all the ham on top of the tomato we already have.

4. It is the turn to add the cheese, trying to cover everything we have already added.

5. Sprinkle with oregano to taste.

6. Finally we fold the tortilla and put another pancake, just enough to compact everything.

7. With the oven preheated to 200º we bake it for 10 minutes or until it is golden to our taste.

Serve and ready!
