Las Moradas Initio Wine

Origin

Vineyard: Ecological and biodynamic. Located on a mountain plateau, on the Madrid slope of the Sierra de Gredos with strong northwest winds. Almost 900m high on granitic sand and rock soils, with a slightly acidic pH. The plots with which this INITIO was made are 10.2 hectares in glass formation and strict dry land where the landscape of these old historic vineyards remains over time. This very particular terroir provides the essence of LAS MORADAS: low yields due to the balance of the soil, excellent raw material, with impeccable acidity, good maturation and great balance and health, which gives us very personal wines that age very elegantly over time. .

Tasting's notes

INITIO 2017 is a wine with all the nuances of the Garnacha variety on granite soils in the area. Harmonious, sober, with balsamic, cherry, red plum, Mediterranean bush, wild fruits, graphite and mineral hints of granite aromas. The palate appears very fresh and lively, long and elegant. It is a wine to enjoy with any pairing due to its essence and roundness. Very personal and balanced. It captures the essence of Grenache in this mountain terroir with dryland vineyards between 50 and 112 years old in the most natural and respectful way possible.
